The City of Brandon has unveiled a new app designed to make riding the bus easier.

The BDN Transit app allows users to track where buses are on a map, how long their bus will take to get to their stop and what the recommended route is for certain destinations.

“Whether you’re heading to work, school, or across town, BDN Transit helps you choose the best route and stay informed every step of the way,” the city’s director of transportation services, Carla Richardson, said in a news release.

Locations of the buses in the app update every 20 seconds, and the app can be used in English, French and Spanish.

Users can also set favourite routes and locations for faster access.

The app can be downloaded for free in the app store for both Apple and Android, the city said.
