A taxi driver reported at around 5 a.m. that one of the five passengers dropped off in the 1300 block of Victoria Avenue stole their bag.
The bag had cash and receipts inside, police said in a news release.
Police found the suspects and arrested a 31-year-old woman who now faces a charge of possession of property obtained by crime.
The stolen property was returned to the driver, the release said.

MAN CHARGED WITH SANDY BAY STABBING
A man who allegedly stabbed another man in what police said started out as a consensual fight on Sandy Bay First Nation has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Manitoba First Nations Police Service received a call around 7 p.m. on Monday that someone had been stabbed.
Officers went to the residence, where they found a 28-year-old man with stab wounds, MFNPS said in a news release.
Officers gave first aid to the man until emergency medical services, ambulance and STARS air ambulance got to the residence.
The man was transported to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg and has since been upgraded to stable condition, police said.
Through an investigation, police determined that the victim and another man were in a consensual fight when the accused allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times with an “edged weapon,” the release said.
Police found the accused at the scene and took him into custody.
Gary Joseph McIvor, 26, was held in custody and scheduled to appear in Portage la Prairie court on Tuesday.
