Customers shop for fresh produce, bread, pies and other goods at Spring Valley Colony’s weekly summer produce market on 18th Street in the Bell MTS building parking lot on Wednesday. A crowd was already waiting as colony members set up the market. Julie Waldner, the head gardener at Spring Valley, sees both regular weekly customers as well as new faces. The market began at noon and included a wide assortment of vegetables including cucumbers, beans, lettuce, garlic, broccoli, zucchini, beets and much more.
