A 21-year-old man, identified as Styles Hotain, has been arrested and charged following an armed robbery at a Main Street business in Strathclair on Aug. 3.
Hotain has been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purposes, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and disobeying a court order.
According to RCMP, officers responded at approximately 10:05 p.m. on Aug. 3, after receiving a report that a man had entered the business, demanded money, and threatened an employee with bear spray. The suspect fled with cash and alcohol. The employee was not hurt.
Police obtained a detailed description of the suspect and conducted patrols, but were initially unable to find him. Further investigation led to the identification of a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
