FENCE FIRE SPREADS

Officials are investigating a fence fire that spread to a tree and detached garage on Wednesday.

Police received a 911 call at around 3:40 a.m. that a fence was on fire in the back alley of the 800 block of Seventh Street.

When Brandon Police Service and Brandon Fire and Emergency Services arrived at the scene, they found that the fire spread to a large spruce tree and a detached garage, police said in a news release.

BFES put out the fire and no injuries were reported, police said.
