A pedestrian was in critical condition with life-threatening injuries on Saturday after a hit-and-run in Dauphin.
Dauphin RCMP were sent to Buchanon Avenue at around 9 p.m. after a vehicle hit a 43-year-old man and fled the scene, police said in a news release on Monday.
Emergency medical services took the man to a hospital in Dauphin before STARS flew him by air ambulance to a hospital in Winnipeg, where he remained in critical condition as of Monday afternoon, the release said.

Shortly after the collision, RCMP identified the driver as a 20-year-old woman from the Municipality of Gilbert Plains.
Officers arrested the woman and took her to the detachment for a breath sample, which was almost three times the legal limit, police said.
The driver was released from custody, with charges pending, and police seized the vehicle.
A forensic collision reconstructionist examined the scene.
Dauphin RCMP continues to investigate.
