A man who allegedly tried to break into a Brandon business was arrested on Thursday.
Brandon Police Service received a report of an attempted break and enter at a business in the 1500 block of Pacific Avenue.

The suspect tried to enter a shed on the property and spent a “significant amount of time” trying to access the main building, BPS said in a news release Friday.
Police said they identified a 31-year-old man through video surveillance and that he was known to police.
The man was already in custody at BPS on an unrelated matter, and officers subsequently arrested him for attempted break and enter.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

Police were called to the business in the 1500 block of 18th Street at around 2:30 p.m.
The man allegedly shoved an employee toward the ground before he fled the scene and got on a bus, police said in a news release Friday.
Officers found and arrested a 31-year-old man a short distance from the business. BPS said the man is known to police.
He was charged with assault and held in BPS detention cells.
He was scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
ASSAULT BY CHOKING
Brandon Police Service arrested a man on Thursday in connection to an alleged assault in July.
Police went to a home in the 600 block of Assiniboine Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. on July 26, where an intoxicated man was causing a disturbance, BPS said in an email to the Sun.
A 36-year-old woman who was present made a statement to police, saying there had been previous assaults and threats, BPS said.
Officers arrested a 40-year-old man, who was held in BPS detention cells until he sobered up. He was released with a scheduled court date.
With direction from the Crown, police re-arrested the man at his residence on Thursday and charged him with assault by choking and uttering threats, police said in a news release.
The man is set to appear in court on Monday.
