Officers found the man, but the bike had not been reported stolen, BPS said in a news release Tuesday.
However, officers found a butcher knife on him, with the handle sticking out of his backpack, BPS said.
Police said the man also had a folding knife and roughly 2.89 grams of methamphetamine.
The 34-year-old man was arrested and held in BPS detention cells until a court appearance on Tuesday.
While searching his backpack after his arrest, police said they found a black pellet/replica gun.
He was charged with possession of a weapon and possession of methamphetamine.
Woman hit in face
Brandon Police Service arrested a man on Monday after receiving a report that he hit a woman in the face two times.
Police received a report of an assault at around 9 p.m. at a residence on the 200 block of Victoria Avenue East.
When officers arrived, the man was outside and the woman was inside the home. She had swelling to her lip and eye, BPS said in a news release.
Police arrested the 41-year-old man and charged him with assault. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in November.
Wanted men arrested
Two men with warrants for their arrest in Toronto were caught in Brandon on Monday after they were allegedly throwing chairs and yelling at staff in a restaurant.
Officers with the Brandon Police Service were sent to a restaurant on the 2900 block of Victoria Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. following several reports of two men causing a disturbance.
Police found two men along the bike path on Victoria Avenue. When officers approached them, they yelled at the officers, BPS said in a news release Tuesday.
Both men were taken into custody despite one of them resisting arrest, police said.
The men, aged 35 and 38, had endorsed warrants for their arrest out of Toronto for assault and assault with a weapon, the release said.
Both men were charged with causing a disturbance and mischief. The 38-year-old was also charged with resisting arrest.
The men were scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
Prohibited, concealed weapons
Brandon Police Service arrested a man and woman on Monday after police said they found several weapons on each of them.
While officers were in the 900 block of Princess, they identified several people, with two of them matching the description of suspects from a prior call, BPS said in a news release Tuesday.
Police searched a 23-year-old woman and found an extendable baton and bear spray, police said.
The woman was also allegedly in breach of her probation order.
Officers arrested and charged the woman with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon and two counts of breaching her probation.
Police also searched a 20-year-old man and found a throwing knife and a machete concealed in his pants, BPS said.
