The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is giving one of its flagship events a major refresh — unveiling a new look, new dates and a broader focus.

The organization took over the Brandon Home & Leisure Show recently, following the dissolution of Display Manitoba.

The revamped event will debut March 6–8, 2026 at the Keystone Centre, marking a shift from its usual April 11-13 schedule.

The rebranding aligns the show with the organization’s other major events and allows for a more flexible schedule that better suits exhibitors, acting general manager Kristen Laing Breemersch told the Sun on Friday.

“In April, many of our building and outdoor vendors are already working on projects or out in the field, which made it difficult for them to commit to a full weekend at the show,” Breemersch said. “Moving it to March opens up more opportunities for vendors and visitors alike.”

Alongside a new logo and updated look, the reimagined event will showcase a wider range of exhibitors and experiences. While home improvement remains at its core, Breemersch said the new direction expands into outdoor living — from landscaping and cottages to camping, boating and hunting.

“We wanted to make sure people could see not just how to upgrade their homes, but also their yards, cabins and outdoor spaces,” she said. “It’s about creating a full lifestyle experience.”

A highlight of the rebrand is the introduction of the “Made in Manitoba” marketplace — a dedicated section celebrating locally made products and businesses. Breemersch said the feature aims to spotlight small Manitoba-based enterprises while welcoming participants from across Canada and even the United States.

“Everyone is welcome,” she said. “But we also want to carve out a space that celebrates the creativity and quality of what’s produced right here in Manitoba.”

Visitors will notice other layout changes too. The event will span the Manitoba Room and UCT Hall and extend into the Canada Room and City Square Exhibition Hall, forming a continuous route through the Keystone Centre. Admission will be $5 for a single day or $10 for a weekend pass.

The rebrand is “the beginning of a new chapter” that builds on a long-standing legacy, Provincial Ex president Clint Swain said.

“This is more than just a new logo or new dates,” he said. “It’s about creating new opportunities for exhibitors and a richer experience for our guests.”

The goal is to make the show feel more modern, lively and community-driven, with expanded entertainment, food and beverage offerings, event co-chair Mike Sanderson said.

“This is about creating an event that feels modern, lively and true to our community,” he said. “From new local vendors to added food and entertainment, we’re raising the bar for what a home and leisure show can be.”

The Brandon Home & Leisure Show has long been a gathering point for innovation and inspiration in the region, Keystone Centre general manager Connie Lawrence said.

“It continues to be an event where inspiration and innovation come together for the benefit of the entire community,” she said.

Breemersch said vendors interested in participating can contact the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba at tradeshow@provincialex.com for more information.
