Brandon police arrested two boys on Monday after a man reported that a teen had pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him.
The man said he was driving north on the Thompson Bridge when the youth pointed the object at him and at another boy who was with him.

Officers found the youths, aged 14 and 15, near Kirkcaldy Drive and 18th Street North. The reported handgun was a plastic revolver-style cap gun.
The 14-year-old was carrying a 12-inch knife in his waistband and the 15-year-old had a hammer in his waistband, police said.
Each boy was charged with possession of a weapon and the 15-year-old also faces prior weapon-related charges.
Church break-in
Brandon police arrested a man on Monday evening after he allegedly broke into a church.
Police responded to a report of a man who kicked in a church door on the 400 block of 13th Street.

The man was charged with a breaking and entering and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
