Police said the man walked into the business and started making demands to the staff in relation to his order. The store’s manager confronted him, and he responded by threatening and attempting to fight the manager, police said.
As a result of the altercation, the suspect sustained a minor injury that required medical treatment.
The 41-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and uttering threats.
He was held in custody and was scheduled to be released on an undertaking once sober.
Signs of impairment after collision
The Brandon Police Service arrested a man early Sunday morning after he showed signs of impairment after a collision, police say.
Officers came across a motor vehicle collision at 18th Street and Victoria Avenue shortly after midnight.
Nobody involved was injured, but a man who was driving one of the vehicles showed signs of impairment, BPS said in a news release.
Officers arrested the 30-year-old man, who then refused to provide breath samples, police said.
The man was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and refusing to provide a breath sample with demand.
He is scheduled to appear in court next week.
Drug possession
The Brandon Police Service arrested a man early Sunday morning after officers found him in possession of illicit drugs, police say.
Officers stopped a pedestrian who they confirmed was on a court-ordered curfew shortly after 3 a.m.
After officers arrested the man, they found that he had methamphetamine and fentanyl on him and that he had provided a false name, police said.
The man was charged with breaching a release order, public mischief and possession of controlled substances.
