The City of Brandon’s planning commission has approved the names of seven streets for a new development in the city’s southwest corner.
At a meeting last month, the commission agreed to add to the city’s street name registry Bluestem Grass Place, Clover Way, Morningstar Bay, Rye Grass Place, Sun Dog Drive, Sunflower Way and Sweetgrass Place.
City council will vote on the street names once the developer submits plans for the subdivision.
The street names, which were proposed by Waverly Developments Ltd., will be for the future development near the planned K-8 school west of 34th Street.
In September, council approved the naming of Manitou Drive, Foxtail Drive and Sage Drive for other streets in the neighbourhood.
