Focus at Brandon University has turned to exams, with the final classes taking place today and exams starting tomorrow. Exams will run until Dec. 22. The BU holiday break begins on Dec. 24.

The “Rural, Remote and Northern Manitoba Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Resource Guide,” a new guide developed to support survivors and service providers, will be launched today at noon in the Gathering Space of the John E. Robbins Library. This guide compiles and maps essential shelters, crisis lines, advocacy centres and culturally specific supports across Manitoba, helping improve access to timely and appropriate services for those experiencing intimate partner or sexual violence.

First-year students in the master of science (Environmental and Life Sciences) program will share their research on Tuesday. Sessions will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., in Room 4-47 of the John R. Brodie Science Centre.

Brandon University will recognize employees who have reached service milestones during the Long Service Recognition event on Thursday. The event will take place, beginning at 2:30 p.m., in Harvest Hall.

The Chamber Music class will present its final concert on Thursday at 5 p.m., in the Lorne Watson Recital hall. All are welcome and there is no admission charge for this event.
