MISSING WOMAN

Mounties and a search party were looking for a missing 41-year-old woman on Sunday who was last seen at the Ebb and Flow First Nation on Dec. 20.

Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP received a report on Christmas Eve that Becky Samantha McIvor, from Ebb and Flow, hadn’t been seen, and hadn’t contacted her friends or family since the 20th, the RCMP said in a press release issued Friday evening.

McIvor is five-foot-five, 185 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, the press release said.. No clothing description was provided.

She was last seen on Central Road in Ebb and Flow, according to an Engaging Ebb & Flow Facebook post on Boxing Day.

The Ebb and Flow First Nation Fire Department, family, friends and community members have been searching for the past few days, RCMP Sgt. Paul Manaigre said on Sunday.

“Investigators are still trying to determine the timeline of events around when she was last seen and if there’s any indications that she may have left the community,” Manaigre said in an email.

The Sun reached out to a family member of McIvor, but didn’t hear back before press time.

Anyone with information on McIvor’s whereabouts is asked to call the Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP at 204-447-3082, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

MAN ARRESTED AFTER 3-CAR COLLISION

Officers arrested the 19-year-old man following a three-vehicle collision at the corner of Victoria Avenue and 18th Street just after 7 p.m., the Brandon Police Service said in a news release.

Police used a breathalyzer on the man, who was over the legal limit, BPS said.

The man will appear in court next month.
