Assault in vehicle
Brandon police arrested a man on Sunday after a woman was assaulted inside a vehicle.
Officers responded at 7:44 p.m. to a report of a male hitting a female in a vehicle near the 1400 block of Van Horne Avenue, police said in a news release Monday.

A witness told police the female victim tried to get out of the vehicle, but the male driver drove away with her still inside, the release said.
After a second report, police located the vehicle on the 2400 block of 24th Street.
The woman had visible bruises and a black eye, police said.
A 40-year-old man was arrested for assault, assault by choking and uttering threats. He was later released with a court date of March 23.
Robbed for sunglasses
Police arrested a woman last Friday for allegedly robbing another woman in downtown Brandon.
Officers responded at around 3:30 p.m. to a report of a woman being assaulted near the 800 block of Rosser Avenue.
Police said the assailant struck the victim in the head and stole her sunglasses. The victim was not seriously injured, police said.
The suspect was located nearby and arrested.
A 39-year-old woman was held and later released with a March 16 court date on a robbery charge.
Stolen delivery vehicle
Brandon police recovered a stolen delivery vehicle Sunday evening after it was taken in the city’s downtown.
At about 4:45 p.m., a delivery driver reported that his vehicle had been stolen after he left it running outside a business on the 300 block of 10th Street, police said in a news release Monday.
At 7:12 p.m., officers located the vehicle on the 1500 block of McTavish Avenue, police said.
Police continue to investigate the theft.
