Mounties say two hotel bar break-ins in Glenboro and Baldur may be connected.

Blue Hills RCMP were notified Jan. 10 at around 5 a.m. that alcohol and cigarettes had been stolen from a hotel bar in Glenboro, about 80 kilometres southeast of Brandon, after the business was broken into.

Surveillance footage showed two men dressed in black with their faces partially covered broke into the business and stole several cases of alcoholic coolers, bottles of alcohol and roughly $2,000 worth of cigarettes, RCMP said in a news release on Wednesday.

The two men left in what police described as a dark-coloured, four-door SUV with a dual sunroof.

Mounties said there may be a connection between this incident and another break-in at a business in Baldur, about 105 kilometres southeast of Brandon, on Dec. 30, 2025.

Two similarly dressed men broke into the Baldur business and stole multiple cases of alcoholic coolers, police said.

RCMP posted surveillance footage of both incidents on Manitoba RCMP’s YouTube account. The video is titled “Blue Hills RCMP investigating hotel bar break-in that may be linked to Baldur theft.”

Mounties asked that anyone with information regarding these incidents call Blue Hills RCMP at 204-834-2905, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
