Mounties took an Ebb and Flow First Nation man into custody after he was accused of uttering threats and killing a dog earlier this month.
On Feb. 9, Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP received a report that a man had threatened someone and assaulted a dog.
Police arrived at a residence in Ebb and Flow First Nation and found a deceased dog in the yard, RCMP said in a news release on Tuesday.
Mounties said a man had been seen brandishing an edged weapon in the yard just before police found the dog with stab wounds.
The same man was also seen at another residence in the community, where he made violent threats to an individual, police said.
Daniel St. Paul, 37, was charged with uttering threats and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
