The under-17 AAA Brandon Wheat Kings are deadlocked with the Winnipeg Wild in their Winnipeg Hockey League U17 AAA quarterfinal series.

In Game 1 on Thursday at J&G Homes Arena, Brayden Watt, Etienne Visser, Luke Krieser, Ashton Shields and William Marvin sniped and Carter Krahn made 24 saves as the Wheat Kings earned a 5-2 victory.

Reid Nicholson made 33 saves for Winnipeg.

In Game 2 on Saturday at J&G Homes Arena, Cristian Vieira scored twice in a 4-3 Winnipeg victory. Soren Milne had two goals for Brandon and Grayson Rome added single.

Nicholson made 26 saves for Winnipeg, with Krahn turning aside 24 shots for Brandon.

Game 3 was at Winnipeg’s Hockey For All Centre on Sunday evening but ended after deadline.

Game 4 is also at the HFAC on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. If necessary, Game 5 is back in Brandon on Thursday at 8:15 p.m.
