Security told police that two people had entered the shopping mall the night before, BPS said in a news release.

Video surveillance showed a man using a prybar to open the door and had a woman with him, police said.

Police arrested a man, who officers found with a prybar and other tools on him, and a woman in connection with the break and enter, the release said.

The 35-year-old man and 32-year-old woman each face a single count of breaking and entering with intent. Additionally, the man was charged with possessing break-in instruments.

Both were released on undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on separate dates in May.

Missing person

The Brandon Police Service is asking for the public’s help in finding Kaley Bell, 35, who has been missing for almost a month.

Bell was last seen in the 300 block of 10th Street on Feb. 13, BPS said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

The woman was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

She is described as five-foot-seven and 130 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a scar on her left forearm, BPS said.

Police said they are concerned about Bell’s well-being and asked anyone with information on her whereabouts to reach out to BPS at 204-729-2345 or Const. Adam Potter, who is BPS’s missing persons unit co-ordinator, at 204-729-2392.
