Officials are investigating after Brandon firefighters battled a blaze inside a house on Wednesday morning.
Brandon Fire and Emergency Services members were sent to a multi-unit residence on the 100 block of 16th Street at 7:40 a.m. after someone called 911 and reported the fire, Deputy Chief Kevin Garrioch told the Sun.
He said no one was injured.
Firefighters had the fire under control by around 8 a.m. and fully extinguished by around 8:15 a.m., Garrioch said.
The residence, which was a single dwelling converted into three apartments, sustained fire and smoke damage on the main floor, along with smoke damage on the second floor, the deputy chief said.
Investigators responded to the scene, and while the cause of the fire is still being looked into, Garrioch said so far, “no signs say suspicious.”
