Brandon police arrested a man on Thursday in connection with an assault that took place last weekend.
On March 14, police responded to a report of a man threatening another man at a business in the 700 block of 10th Street.
The suspect “brandished” a large kitchen knife and assaulted the man, the Brandon Police Service said in a news release.
The suspect was gone by the time police arrived.
On Thursday, police found and identified the suspect and arrested him, police said.
The 20-year-old man was charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon.
He was also charged with two additional counts of assault in relation to an unrelated incident from Feb. 28.
The man was held in BPS detention cells and scheduled to appear in court on Friday for his charges.
