• 9 a.m. — Touch-a-Truck Brandon is a family-friendly event where kids can climb in, touch and look at all sorts of vehicles and construction equipment. All proceeds go to Kokums Early Enrichment Programs. Event takes place on the Keystone Centre grounds from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (quiet hour 9 to 10 a.m.). Will also have face painting, bouncy castles, equipment demonstrations. Hotdogs, burger, bannock dogs, bannock burgers, drinks, chips and freezies all available for purchase. Cost is $5 per person at the gate. Children a year old and under are free.
• 10 a.m. — Spring in the Dunes guided hikes from 10 a.m. to noon at the Spirit Sands Trailhead, Spruce Woods Provincial Park. Join a park interpreter for a four-kilometre hike in the Spirit Sands, where we will discover the diverse ecosystems, flora and fauna, and the intricate history of the sand dunes. • Daly House Museum (122 18th St., Brandon) — Built in 1882, original home of Brandon’s first mayor, Thomas Mayne Daly. Artifacts include a collection of late 19th-century and early 20th-century furnishings, First World War memorabilia. Daly House in partnership with the Brandon Embroiderers presents “The Art of Embroidery: Past and Present,” an exhibit featuring more than 100 embroidery pieces dating from the 1800s to the present. Exhibit is on display until May 30. Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Admission: $7 adults; $6 seniors and youth (6-18); family (up to two adults and three children), $13; children under five, free. • Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba (Unit 2, 710 Rosser Ave., Brandon) — Free admission. Manitoba’s oldest centre for visual art and one of Canada’s first since 1907. The AGSM boasts two exhibition spaces, an art school and gift shop that supports more than 70 local Manitoba artists. In the Kayes Family Community Gallery are two exhibitions on until June 6, the “Tears of Truth” bead curtain project created by Brandon area students and community members; and “Reconciliation, Resilience and Red” by Justina McKay. In the Main Gallery are two new exhibitions: “Mending: Quilt Project 2025-26” with Melanie Rocan and “Renewal,” a travelling exhibition featuring 33 fibre and textile artists. • Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum (CATPM) (Brandon Municipal Airport, Highway 10, 1.6 kilometres north of Brandon) — Canada’s only air museum solely dedicated to the preservation of those who trained and fought for the British Commonwealth during the Second World War. • June 4 — Grad Cruise Night takes place in downtown Brandon on Rosser Avenue between Sixth Street and 13th Street from 6 to 9 p.m. People wishing to show their vehicles are encouraged to enter the event at the intersection of Rosser Avenue and 13th Street. • June 11 — The First Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1RCHA) will conduct a Freedom of the City of Brandon parade and ceremony at 9:30 a.m. near Brandon University and end at City Hall. More than 100 soldiers of the unit, accompanied by armoured vehicles and towed Howitzers will march from Brandon University along 18th Street and Victoria Avenue to Ninth Street and stop in front of city hall for the formal military ceremony.

• June 19 — The Hamiota & District Sports Complex presents Raise the Roof with Kendra Kay concert.
