The city’s spray parks opened for the season on Friday, the city has announced.

In a post on its website earlier this week, the city said the parks are operational during varying hours of the day, with end-of-day closures at 8 p.m. during June and July and 7 p.m. in August.

The parks are free to attend and operate on a first-come, first-served basis, the city said.

In the post, the city added that the outdoor Kinsmen Pool is expected to open “shortly” and an announcement will be shared after testing has been completed.

Last year, the pool didn’t open until July 23, after delays for repairs and tests pushed back the opening by more than a month.

Brandon City Council has since started a push to open a new outdoor pool, likely at the Keystone Centre, with a planned opening for 2028.
