One man has died and another was hospitalized after a single-vehicle collision in the RM of Oakview on Saturday.
RCMP members responded to the collision on Highway 24, west of Rapid City, at around 4:35 p.m.
Police learned that a vehicle travelling west on the highway struck the gravel shoulder, overcorrected and proceeded to cross both lanes, rolling into the ditch, RCMP said in a Monday news release.
A 35-year-old man who was found inside the vehicle died at the scene, police said. A 39-year-old man was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a hospital in Winnipeg with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Mounties said.
RCMP are investigating the cause of the collision.
