Man found with pool ball in sock
Brandon police arrested a man on Sunday after receiving a report that a man had pointed a paint gun at a dog.
Members of the Brandon Police Service responded to the 500 block of Rideau Street at around 3 p.m.
Officers found a suspect in the area, who had a paint spray gun and a pool ball inside a sock concealed under his clothing, BPS said in a news release.
Police arrested the 19-year-old man and charged him with possessing a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and failing to comply with his probation order.
He was held in custody overnight and scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Couple charged after assault
Police arrested a man and his partner after he reported that she had assaulted him in his sleep early Monday morning.
A man reported to the Brandon Police Service at around 5:40 a.m. that his partner had assaulted him while he was sleeping.
Police arrested a 41-year-old woman at a residence on the 200 block of Fourth Street and charged her with assault, BPS said in a news release.
Officers found that the man was bound by a condition not to contact or have communication with the woman as a result of a previous incident, police said.
BPS also arrested the 51-year-old man and charged him with failing to comply with his undertaking. He was held in custody and scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
