The provincial government is giving $100,000 to the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton to help finish the Boissevain Lions Campground expansion.
The final phase of the project will complete long-standing infrastructure upgrades and add 12 new fully serviced campsites, the province announced in a news release Tuesday.
Municipal and Northern Relations Minister Glen Simard said the expansion “supports rural recreation, strengthens tourism and ensures families have access to high-quality outdoor experiences.”

The campground has been in place since the 1960s and has grown in popularity since an aquatic centre opened next door two years ago, the province said.
Boissevain-Morton Head of Council Judy Swanson called the provincial funding an “important investment” that will help meet growing demand.
Upgrades also include 26 new fire pits, tree planting, a new road access, an overflow camping area, new signage and tetherball and disc golf areas.
Simard said construction is slated to be completed in the fall.
