BRANDON UNIVERSITY
JUNO and Polaris Prize winning musician Jeremy Dutcher will visit the Lorne Watson Recital Hall for a morning of conversation today from 10 to 11:30 a.m. This special event will explore Indigenous music and anthropology, with discussion about linguistic and cultural revitalization, archival work and the ways music can connect us to language, history and community. The session will include time for questions from the audience. The event is free to attend, and all are welcome.
Dr. Stephen Rader of the University of Northern British Columbia will talk about hidden RNAs in this week’s Science Seminar Series event on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Rader will present the talk virtually to an audience in Room 4-47 of the John R. Brandon University will be closed for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday. The Healthy Living Centre will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Regular university and HLC hours will resume on Thursday.
The Bobcats soccer teams return home on Saturday to host the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers. The men play at 1 p.m., followed by the women at 3:15 at the Healthy Living Centre. The Bobcats will be back on the road on Sunday, visiting Providence University College in Otterburne.
