Brandon Pride won’t be holding any events this year because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the organization announced on Thursday.
In a Facebook post, organizers wrote they could not “in good faith continue to plan an event at this time.”
The organization will be looking for other opportunities to put on pride events in the future and expressed disappointment in having to make the cancellation.
“There are many more rainbows in Brandon’s future!” organizers wrote. “Stay safe and love one another!”
Pride Winnipeg announced on March 27 that it was postponing its pride events until September.
