Manitoba dental offices are still requiring visitors to wear face masks after the province ended the indoor mask mandate on Saturday.

According to a statement from the Manitoba Dental Association, the provincial dentistry regulator, masks are still mandatory in dental clinics.

“Manitoba dentists support this provincial directive of continued mask-wearing in dental clinics as in other health-care settings,” a statement from the Manitoba Dental Association reads.

“The combination of infection control procedures will maximize the safety of all staff, patients and service personnel in dental offices. These measures will help reduce the risk of a fourth wave of the coronavirus and ensure timely access to dental care for Manitobans.”
