The Brandon School Division announced a third school with a confirmed case of COVID-19 over the Thanksgiving long weekend on Sunday evening.
According to a notice posted to the Division’s website, one case of the virus has been found in the Grade 1/2 DM classroom.
The person who contracted the virus was possibly contagious when they were present on Sept. 28 and 29.
At this point, the division does not believe the case was acquired at school.
Close contacts have been reached out to and advised to self-isolate.
Parents of children in the class who have not been identified as a close contact are advised to monitor them for COVID-19 symptoms as a precaution.
Other cases announced over the long weekend were at King George School and St. Augustine School.
