Robin’s Donuts closed Friday
The Robin’s Donuts location at 10th Street and Victoria Avenue was closed on Friday. A sign on the door said the location was closed due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
It is unknown if the closure is temporary or permanent. A request for comment from Robin’s Donuts corporate email account was not returned by press time, and phone calls to the Brandon location were not answered.
Wayback Burgers mum on plans
A spokesperson from Wayback Burgers told the Sun on Friday that the local franchisees are not ready to unveil their plans for their upcoming Brandon location but did say the restaurant will likely open by the end of the year.
As reported earlier in the week, the Connecticut-based chain has a Brandon location at 1240 18th St. listed as “coming soon” on their website.
The only open Wayback Burgers in Canada is in Winnipeg, with another planned for that city in the future.
Fired Pizza to undergo renovation
Fired Pizza’s new ownership is renovating its location at 2430 Victoria Ave.
The pizzeria, which has gone through three ownership groups in the last two years, was purchased by Joseph Curtis, who is taking point on day-to-day operations, and Kyle Koksal, who also owns Shawarma Queen.
Koksal told the Sun that the renovations are adding a dine-in area at the front of the restaurant and expanding the interior space. He said that Curtis will be revamping the menu, as well.
Renovations are expected to be complete in approximately one month.
