The Killarney Turtle Mountain Arts Council’s Music for the Masses virtual concert series is offering Westman residents two big performances this weekend, with The Carolines and Sierra Noble performing on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The Carolines is made up of vocalists Katie Perman, Lesley Pelletier and Chloe Albert, who are based out of Edmonton and specialize in applying sisterly vocal harmonies to old country classics.
Saturday’s show, starting at 8 p.m., is a rebroadcast of The Carolines’ performance from The Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre last fall.
Meanwhile, Noble is a well-known singer-songwriter, fiddle player and philanthropist from Winnipeg, who has performed around the world and served as an opening act for the likes of Paul McCartney, Kid Rock and Bon Jovi.
Noble’s Sunday concert, also beginning at 8 p.m., will feature a live audience Q&A at the tail end of the show.
Both these performances will be showcased on the KTMAC’s YouTube channel and Facebook page for free, since this concert series is being funded by the province’s Safe at Home initiative.
Over the next couple weeks, the KTMAC will also be featuring artists like Little Miss Higgins (March 12), meagan&amy (March 14), Garrett Gregory (March 19) and the Cicchillitti-Cowan Duo (March 28) in Music for the Masses.
