Faced with an onslaught of people seeking cannabis yesterday, a representative from Brandon’s B.O.B. Headquarters wanted to clarify that they are not a dispensary.
With yesterday marking the day that possession and sale of recreational cannabis became legal, the store representative said that they’ve had an extremely busy day, with many people assuming they are a dispensary.
B.O.B. Headquarters owner Robert Ritchot partnered with Tokyo Smoke last year in making a successful bid to become a cannabis dispensary.
Subsequently merging with DOJA Cannabis Company to form the brand Hiku and later acquired by Canopy Growth, the dispensary has been slated to open at 628 18th St., though a grand opening date has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, B.O.B. Headquarters — a retail out specializing in cannabis paraphernalia, but not actual cannabis —will continue business as usual at 658 18th St.
