Police arrested a teenage boy on Thursday after he allegedly stabbed a man earlier that morning.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., officers responded to a report a man had been stabbed in the 200 block of Fifth Street.
The 23-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
A woman living on the street told The Sun on Friday afternoon she saw police cars, fire trucks and an ambulance outside an apartment building on Thursday morning. She said it’s fairly common to see emergency services in the block, however, and didn’t see anyone injured come out of the building.
Officers in the BPS Major Crime Section conducted a search warrant later in the day at a residence on Cornel Bay, where they arrested a 16-year-old boy, police say.
He was charged with aggravated assault and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 9.
