SASKATOON – Police in Saskatoon say a man has been arrested after a deadly crash involving a scooter Saturday morning.
Police say just after 3:00 a.m., they were called about a man reportedly lying dead on Warman Road near Circle Drive.
It was later determined a car was going north on Warman Road when it collided with a 25-year-old man riding an electric scooter.
The man ended up dying from injuries sustained in the crash.
Police say the 38-year-old man driving the car has been charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, operation of a motor vehicle while impaired and operation of a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol causing death.
Saskatoon police say the suspect was slated to appear before a justice of the peace at some point Saturday.
