MONTREAL – A snowmobiler was killed in a crash in Quebec’s Charlevoix region, northeast of Quebec City.
Provincial police received a 911 call for a missing man about 11 a.m. Saturday.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was found later the same day after a police search in Notre-Dame-des-Monts and was declared dead in hospital.
Sgt. Ève Brochu-Joubert said it is likely the man swerved and collided with a tree while riding in a wooded area about 340 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
Police needed help from firefighters and ambulance technicians to recover the victim.
Provincial police are investigating.
