Manitoba Health has identified more measles cases and exposures in the Southern Health Region, including a grocery store, medical centre and school.

The province said five sites in Winkler and Gretna have been confirmed as exposure sites for the highly contagious virus.

The exposure sites include:

Real Canadian Superstore in Winkler, 175 Cargill Road, on April 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

C. W. Wiebe Medical Centre, 385 Main St. in Winkler on April 24 from 8:47 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., April 25 from 8:45 a.m. to 6:59 p.m. and April 29 from 8:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Winners, 777 Norquay Dr. in Winkler on April 27 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

Dynacare – Winkler Blood and Medical Test Lab, 385 Main St., in Winkler on April 24 from 8:47 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., April 25 from 8:45 a.m. to 6:59 p.m. and April 29 from 8:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Gretna School, 622 Ninth St. in Gretna on April 22, 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The latest cases and exposures bring the province’s total number of confirmed and probable measles cases to 14, all primarily within the Southern Health Region.

People who may have been exposed at those locations are asked to self-monitor for symptoms for three weeks past the day of potential exposure.

Individuals who think they may have been exposed at the following locations but have not been directly notified are asked to contact Health Links-Info Santé at 204-788-8200 in Winnipeg or 1-888-315-9257 toll-free in Manitoba.
