The Canada Border Services Agency says an outage that affected its inspection kiosks at airports across the country has been resolved.
The agency says travellers may continue to face delays in the short term as normal processing operations resume.
Toronto Pearson International Airport said earlier Thursday that the outage was affecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, where passengers could experience longer wait times.
It was the second CBSA inspection kiosk outage reported in the last few days.
An outage over the weekend caused delays at customs in some of Canada’s busiest airports before it was resolved.
The CBSA has also said that it experienced technical issues earlier this week that required airlines to process and verify travellers’ information manually.
The earlier outages are still causing problems at a busy land border crossing in Ontario’s Niagara Region.
The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission is advising all Canada-bound commercial vehicles to avoid the Lewiston-Queenston International Bridge crossing amid ongoing delays and long lines on the American side of the border.
“While CBSA has implemented a processing systems fix, the resulting delays continue and all adjacent queuing areas within the Western New York region are at, or beyond, capacity,” the commission says on its website.
