Ella VanDaele posted five kills and seven aces as the Vincent Massey Vikings swept the Crocus Plainsmen 3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 25-18) in the final regular season match of the Brandon High School Volleyball League varsity girls’ season on Tuesday.
Kennedy Hong added six kills and five aces for Massey (4-0), which earned a bye to the city final. Sophia Hullick tallied nine digs.
Sadie Kasprick led the Plainsmen with three kills, while Maddie Sheffield posted five blocks and Danika Murray made five digs.
In the JV match, Massey swept Crocus 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-23).
Today, Crocus hosts Massey to round out the boys’ regular season. The JV teams start at 6 p.m., with the varsity match at 7:30 p.m.
Next Tuesday, Crocus visits Neelin in the girls’ semifinal.
