CALGARY – A man in Calgary has died after he was backed over by a semi-truck in an industrial area.
Police say the truck was backing into a loading dock at a warehouse Thursday.
They say the 69-year-old man was hit as he walked behind the truck to prepare a ramp.
He was taken to hospital and later died.
The truck driver, a man in his 30s, was not hurt and remained on the scene.
Police and the province’s Occupational Health and Safety unit are investigating.
