Brandon Wheat King Chase Surkan had an assist in Canada Red’s 6-5 shootout loss to the United States at the U17 world challenge hockey tournament on Tuesday in Truro, N.S.
Surkan also missed during the eight-round shootout, which resulted in the U.S. (0-2-0-0) tying Canada Red (1-0-0-1) at the top of Group B with four points.
The teams have today off, with quarterfinals taking place on Thursday.
