CALGARY – Calgary Police say a man was seriously injured after an officer-involved shooting at a light-rail train station Tuesday.
Police say they responded to reports of a man with a knife who was acting aggressively toward a peace officer at the Dalhousie LRT Station parking lot.
They say officers located the man and an altercation occurred, resulting in one Calgary Police Service member shooting the man.
Police say the individual was transported to hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
No officers or bystanders were injured in the shooting and police say there is no further risk to the public.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is investigating.
