BRETON – RCMP say a baby and a toddler have died in a house fire in west-central Alberta.
Police were called on Thursday afternoon about the blaze at a rural home in Brazeau County.
They say a woman and two other children managed to escape but that the infant and toddler were still inside.
R-C-M-P say firefighters battled the flames but a rescue wasn’t possible.
The toddler was initially unaccounted for, but police said late Friday that the child had been found dead.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
