NORTH BATTLEFORD – Mounties in Saskatchewan have laid charges after three people in a truck pulled up beside a man walking his dog and shot the dog dead.

They say it occurred last Friday night in North Battleford.

They say the man was walking his dog when the trio drove up, uttered threats and opened fire.

Police did not say what the threats were or what might have motivated the attack.

The man was not hurt, but the dog died at the scene, and shortly after police found the suspect truck at a house and made arrests.

Two men and a woman face multiple charges.
