WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police say an 87-year-old man has been charged after an 84-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car about two years ago.
Police say the pedestrian was hit in December 2024 near Byrd Avenue and Westwood Drive in the city’s west end.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later died.
Police say the driver remained at the scene.
He has been charged with careless driving causing death.
Police say he was charged in June.
