Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 12/08/2011 (5552 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
This letter is in regards to our new Western Manitoba Cancer Centre and the upcoming provincial election.
I recently went for a tour of the new facility in Brandon and what a beautiful building it is. I hope you all had a chance to see it. Now people can have their treatments here instead of having to travel to Winnipeg.
Do you know how much stress this will lift off of people’s minds knowing that they can receive their treatment here and still be close to their family and friends?
Well I do, because last year, I had a family member that had to go to Winnipeg for six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. This was a most stressful time in our lives.
So now I must say thank you to Drew Caldwell and the NDP for our cancer centre! In fact thank you, NDP, for our new lab, renovations to BRHC, a second CAT scan and MRI machine.
I believe a Conservative government never would have approved funding for our cancer centre or any renovations to BRHC.
Drew Caldwell fights hard for Brandon.
