Hey there, time traveller!

As candidates for the Conservative Party nomination, we both enjoyed travelling around Brandon-Souris, visiting communities and talking to many people about the future of our region and our country. Both of us will always remember and appreciate the support we received.
We want to take this opportunity to tell the people of Brandon-Souris that we are 100 per cent behind the campaign of Larry Maguire and ask that all of our supporters from the nomination campaign join us and come together under the Conservative Party banner to support Larry in the upcoming byelection.
In our respective roles as a regional director for the PC Party of Manitoba for the Westman region and as an executive assistant to Merv Tweed, we have each dealt with Larry on many occasions. From these experiences, we can confidently say that Larry is a man of integrity. His experience as an MLA, as well as his strong track record in the agricultural industry, makes him well-placed to influence our region’s future economic growth. Larry also served on Brandon’s Chamber of Commerce for eight years.
We are absolutely certain that he is the best choice to be our next Member of Parliament and will do a great job representing the interests of southwestern Manitoba.
We both sought the Conservative Party’s nomination because each of us believes strongly in the good work that the federal Conservative government is doing across Canada and right here in Brandon-Souris. Federal funding for infrastructure projects like Brandon’s waste water treatment plant will ensure that local communities can continue to grow.
Construction of new recreational facilities, such as the new Brandon University gym and the Killarney Shamrock Centre, provide a place to gather with friends and neighbours, attract events, foster a sense of community and encourage healthier lifestyles. As the first WestJet Encore plane landed in Brandon earlier this month, we were both reminded of the funding provided by our federal Conservative government to upgrade Brandon’s airport making regular air service a reality.
Further, every municipality in this constituency now benefits from the indexed gas tax fund which helps build vital infrastructure. We ask all Conservative Party members and supporters to work together and get behind Larry Maguire.
The stakes in this upcoming byelection are high. Regardless of who the NDP nominate, Thomas Mulcair will not stand up for the economic interests of Brandon-Souris. On the other hand, Rolf Dinsdale, the Liberal Party’s acclaimed candidate, only moved to Brandon from Toronto earlier this summer and admitted in the Brandon Sun that the reason he moved was to run for MP.
We need a member of Parliament who will stand up for the economic interests of Brandon-Souris. We need a member of Parliament who has a deep understanding of our region and not someone who has just moved here from Toronto to seek a job that will send him right back to Ontario. We are both in complete agreement: the right choice for Brandon-Souris is Larry Maguire and the Conservative Party.
We look forward to hitting the campaign trail as soon as a byelection is called and we are both committed to doing everything we can to elect Larry as the next Member of Parliament for Brandon-Souris.
Please join us and support Larry Maguire to be the next Member of Parliament for Brandon-Souris.
