Do the crime, do some time
Just read in the Brandon Sun about this wonderful citizen who smashed some guy over the head with a beer bottle and oh boy, he is going to clean his life up and be a model citizen. So, Judge John Combs has given him house arrest. This is a joke. Put these guys in jail, make them work. If they don’t work, they don’t eat. Enough is enough!
Children need better protection
I am astounded that Manitoba announces regulations have passed to protect animals against abuse (which I support and agree!) Yet, on the same day news continues of a mother who has had numerous encounters with CFS and had children temporarily removed from her custody. God help the children who are scared to death to return home only to have nightmares of abuse time and time again. A household can potentially be restricted from owning pets, yet in the same situation can have their children back? Really sickens me that our government protects pets more than our children.
Use your own parks
Come on people. You have many dog parks in the city while the sport of football only has school property. Why do you feel it necessary to walk your dog on the fields? I don’t think you’d like it if your child had to play in pet messes.
Do it the right way
In the last few days I have encountered three incidents where drivers obviously do not know how to yield at four-way stops. Remember that the vehicle to the right has the right of way, not the fastest on the gas pedal.
