Souris product Tyson Kozak is now a signed prospect of the Buffalo Sabres.
The Portland Winterhawks forward inked his entry-level contract with the National Hockey League club Friday.
A seventh round pick by the Sabres in the 2021 draft, Kozak was fourth in team scoring last season with 69 points in 66 games.
He also recorded five points in 10 playoff contests.
The 19-year-old has 109 points in 152 regular season games for the Winterhawks, who picked him in the sixth round of the 2017 Western Hockey League draft.
