Wheat City ConnXion earned gold at the Prairie Regionals Synchronized Skating Competition in Yorktown on the weekend.
In adult 1 synchro, the team finished first on day one with a score of 26.05 points and had the top performance again on day two with 48.53 points, for an event-winning score of 74.58
The team, which is coached by Tammy McKay, includes Teal Adriaansen, Karis Beernaert, Stephanie Brigden, Allison Brigden, Jessica Brown,Lauren Doyle, Lindsay Filewich, Alisha George-Birmingham, Karrie Gerow, Daelyn Howarth, Michelle Janz, Jayde Jonasson, Teagan Kliever, Karlee Little, Meghan McKinnon, Mercedes McLean, Eric McRae, Raegan Miller, Noilah Oddleifson, Teanna Olmstead, Amanda Scott, Cassandra Siemens and Rebecca Wilcox.
